The salary of trained Maternity Nurse will ultimately depend on their level of skills, expertise and experience, however, the average annual salary is between £180.00-£400.00+

The primary location of the role will also be a consideration when negotiating salary. Positions that are based overseas, within central London or roles that require frequent travel may require a higher salary.

The role of a Maternity Nurse

• A professional and qualified Maternity Nurse will take sole charge or shared care of infants from 0-3 months
• Feeding, changing, bathing and sleep training
• Baby massage
• Assistance with breastfeeding
• Caring for Mothers following labour or C-section
• Administering medication
• Troubleshooting
• Travel – A Maternity Nurse will travel with their client (please ensure the agency is made aware of any travel requirements at the point of booking)
