Private & Corporate Drivers

The salary of a Private or Corporate Chauffeur will ultimately depend on their level of specific driver training and work experience. However, you can expect an average annual wage of £50,000.00-£80,000.00+ for full-time positions. A more competitive salary may be achievable within Corporate roles with larger pension and benefits packages.

The primary location of the role will also be a consideration when negotiating salary. Positions that are based overseas, within Central London or roles that require frequent travel may require a higher salary.

The role of a Chauffeur

A Private or Corporate Chauffeur is hired to join a team of private household staff, or alternatively within a corporation where they will be in a 1-1 position with one main Principal (in some cases, they may be responsible for driving a wider team of senior management staff).

• Driving duties could include; trips to the office or to attend meetings, drive Principal/s to corporate events, journeys to and from the airport, school runs or outings to restaurants, the gym or perhaps the theatre.
  A Chauffeur can cover a diverse remit and often pick up light PA duties such as restaurant bookings, picking up dry cleaning, or assisting with errand running whilst on standby.
• Experienced Chauffeurs are practised with the art of driving luxury vehicles and supercars. Please ensure we are aware of the make and model of your vehicle/s and we can recruit a Chauffeur with bespoke driver training, such as driving luxury vehicles with a long wheelbase for example, or if we are required to identify an applicant who is practised at driving powerful supercars that require a knowledgeable driver behind the wheel.
• Chauffeurs are also required to valet all vehicles, keeping them in spotless condition inside and out at all times. Deep cleaning will be taken care of at the end of each day, with spot cleaning being executed between every journey.
• The Chauffeur may also be responsible for the official admin for each vehicle, ensuring any paperwork such as road tax and MOT certificates are kept up to date. Any maintenance and essential repairs are typically arranged by the Chauffeur.

The biggest consideration in such circumstances is how frequently you may require them to work outside of their set rota/hours. If they are working for a number of households/corporations, they may not be in a position to prioritise you in times of emergency.

In almost all circumstances, our candidates will require their employer to provide a vehicle.
