A qualified CPO or Security Driver is required in any situation where a tangible level of risk exists on an individual or household.

Our registered Security Personnel are required to hold an SIA Licence and have extensive private security and/or military training.

What is the average salary for a Security Driver/CPO?

The salary of trained Security Personnel will ultimately depend on their level of skills, expertise and experience, however, the average annual salary is between £50,000 to £100,000+.

The primary location of the role will also be a consideration when negotiating salary. Positions that are based overseas, within central London or roles that require frequent travel may require a higher salary.

What duties can a Security Driver or CPO perform?

The role of Private Security
  • Private Security Personnel such as Security Drivers and CPOs are in place to protect you, your family, colleagues and property.
  • The majority of individuals in private security positions will have extensive military training and offer an elite level of expertise.
  • They typically work shifts, either individually or as part of a larger team depending on the inherent level of risk.
  • Travel – Private Security Personnel will travel with their employer and conduct any necessary reconnaissance ahead of time.
  • Management of CCTV and alarm systems
  • Monitoring of property, gardens and entrances
  • Keeping a log of any visitors to the clients home or office
  • Advising on any adjustments or improvements to existing security protocols
  • Journey planning to establish the most direct route (taking things such as road works, road closures or temporary traffic lights into account).
  • Accompany employer to events
  • Depending on the employers preferred level of visibility, Private Security can be front and centre or take a less invasive and more discreet approach.

What is the agency's candidate vetting process?

A high level of skill and experience is required before an applicant can register with us, and formal ID and employment references are checked in advance of any client introduction.

All candidates are required to hold an SIA Close Protection Licence. This includes an in-depth background check.
