Luxury Villa Staff – Ibiza

Highly Competitive Salary|Ibiza, Balearic Islands, Spain|Temporary or Permanent

A Live-in couple/friend duo is required for a large 9 bedroom private villa on the Balearic island of Ibiza. The selected candidates will care for the property and grounds to the highest standard. A team of gardeners, personal trainers/coaches and pool maintenance are also in place externally.

The role requires flexibility to work varying hours with different requirements during the high and low seasons. Those applying for a permanent position rather than a temporary seasonal booking must have the right to work permanently within the EU.

This wonderful opportunity is open to candidates on both a temporary and permanent basis. Should the ideal candidates only wish to work this upcoming summer, a temporary contract can be arranged for you.

The residence is used by the family during school holidays and may be booked for high-end rentals to HNW clients from September to utilise the property during the quieter times of the year.

Accommodation & Car: A separate self-contained 1-bedroom casita with its own entrance and private terrace and a staff car is provided for your use.

Salary: The client would like to secure the ideal candidates for this role, therefore salary is open to negotiation.

Start date: Ideal start date ASAP

Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping, cleaning and general upkeep of a 9-bedroom house to the very highest standards including deep cleaning at the end of busy periods
  • Day to day food shopping and food preparation, including menu planning and cooking simple healthy meals
  • Basic food hygiene and safety
  • All laundry including bed linen
  • Household errands such as post, dry-cleaning etc
  • Overseeing and ensuring the security of the property
  • General handyman/groundsman tasks
  • Oversight of pool maintenance and work by any other third parties at the property and reporting on progress to the principals
  • Cleaning courtyard fountains and pond and all paved areas.
  • Managing tradespeople to attend as needed
  • Working alongside the gardening team on basic gardening tasks eg grass cutting, pruning plants, checking irrigation and watering pots as needed.  Potential for more emphasis on gardening activity.
  • Maintaining an inventory and proper storage and care of garden tools and other household equipment
  • Ensuring a supply of wood for interior fires for winter visits
  • Cleaning and maintenance of vehicles for example checking tyres and oil and booking services
  • Some driving of principals to and from the airport and occasionally otherwise

Other

  • Communicating regularly with the principals
  • Using initiative to alert principals to issues or needs for the property or grounds
  • Setting up and closing down the property for any rentals including careful supervision of the use of the property during these.

Key requirements

  • Those applying for a permanent position rather than a temporary seasonal booking must have the right to work permanently within the EU

  • DBS check
  • Warm, approachable yet highly professional approach to your role
  • Driving licence
  • Spanish language skills are a bonus but are not essential
