Housekeeper – Ascot (3 days per week)

£22.00-£25.00 net per hour|Ascot, Berkshire|Permanent, Live-out

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented part-time housekeeper to support the smooth running of a private residence in Ascot, Berkshire, for three days a week. Ideal candidates will be self-employed, however the client will consider paying the candidate via staff tax if needed. This is a repeat client of the agency and is highly recommended to any suitable applicant.

Working alongside an existing team, the successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day housekeeping duties. This is a great opportunity for an experienced individual who loves nature and thrives in a calm environment. They will be working alongside a hands-on House Manager.

We feel this role would benefit an individual with children who needs to fit their working hours around school hours, but is, of course, open to any applicant looking for flexible hours.

  • Previous private housekeeping experience essential.
  • Trustworthy, well-presented, non-smoker.
  • Dog friendly.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Time management.
  • Excellent communication skills, proactive, positive approach.
  • Able to ‘read the room’ and blend into the background when appropriate.

Hours:

Either – 3 days of 4 hours, for a total of 12 hours a week (10.00-14:00).

Or

3 days of 5 hours each, for a total of 5 hours a week. (10.00-15:00).

Part-time hours can range from 10 to 30 hours, depending on circumstances/time of year (busier times of the year, such as Christmas, may require some extra hours, which would be planned and agreed in advance.

The predictable average is 16.5 per week.

Responsibilities

  • General housekeeping duties including changing/making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, organising, deep cleaning when principals are travelling, carpet cleaning, and stock taking.
  • Maintaining weekly and monthly tasks.
  • Laundry and ironing to a high standard.
  • Wardrobe management.
  • Strong cleaning knowledge with fine art and materials.
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organised house.
  • Dog walking if appropriate/required.
