Housekeeper – Chelsea
Our client in Chelsea is looking for an additional housekeeper to join their team. Applicants are required to cover all aspects of housekeeping including wardrobe management and laundry, and should have plenty of experience within private households.
The client would appreciate a candidate with proven longevity in previous housekeeping roles. Ideal applicants will be flexible and adaptable with a team-player approach. Applicants at a senior level are also encouraged to apply for this position as the client is keen for the opportunity to go to the best candidate available. Salary is fully negotiable depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning to a 5* standard
- Laundry and ironing
- Care of the family dogs
- Cooking breakfast (if on an early shift)
- Helping to get the children ready for school
- Wardrobe management
- Ad hoc errands
- Organising and detail cleaning
- Silver polishing
- Care of fine fabrics and antiques
- Helping with dinner parties
- Occasional travel with the family
Key requirements
- British passport or valid working visa
- Fluent English
- Longevity in previous roles as housekeeper
- Experience working in large households as a part of a team
- MUST be flexible with working hours
- Strong laundry skills
- Be child and pet-friendly
- Basic cooking skills (breakfast)
- Self-motivated and hardworking
- Have a good eye for detail
- Efficient and know how to prioritise tasks
- Comfortable working as a part of a team
