Housekeeper/Cook – Cotswolds

Up to £45k|Cotswolds|Permanent, Live-in

An experienced Housekeeper with confident family cooking skills is required on a large private estate in the Cotswolds. Separate self-contained accommodation is provided on the grounds of the main estate. The clients are a high-profile British couple with young children. NDA and enhanced background check required.

Suitable candidates will have plenty of private household or yacht experience and be willing to work weekends when the family are in the UK. You will be joining a wider team including groundsmen, PA, childcare and security.

Confident family cooking skills are essential for this role. A professional Chef can be brought in to cover larger numbers and formal dinners. The family will bring additional housekeeping staff with them when they travel to the estate from their London residence.

Those with knowledge of vegan and vegetarian cuisine would be of particular interest, although this is not essential.

All applicants must hold a driving licence due to the rural location of the estate. Those who are green-fingered and enjoy gardening are welcome to work alongside the principal’s team of gardeners and create meals with homegrown produce, make jams and preserves etc.

Shortlisted candidates will interview with the client’s PA team before completing a short trial.

This role would suit an individual who is a proactive self-starter who requires very little management and enjoys taking on a level of responsibility in the client’s absence.
