Housekeeper – North London (high-profile client)

This position would suit an experienced Housekeeper with the ability to implement new systems and realign the way the household is maintained. Weekly job lists are encouraged to ensure you have time to cover all areas.

Laundry – The majority of laundry is sent out for dry cleaning including linen, towels and most of the Principal’s garments, however confident laundry skills are required to handle valuable or delicate garments that should be laundered in-house. The children’s laundry is mostly done by the Nanny, however, you are required to assist with ironing.

The client has two young children who are cared for by two Nannies however all applicants are required to have a very warm and relaxed approach with children.

The property is a 3-bedroom home. The family travel to their countryside residence during school holidays and on occasional weekends during the school term. You are not required to travel with them.

This position should go to a happy, efficient and dedicated Housekeeper who enjoys working as a team with other staff (in this case, PAs and Nannies). This is a repeat client of the agency and comes highly recommended as a respectful and appreciative employer. All candidates placed within the household are incredibly happy and looking for one further staff member to complete the team.

When the family are travelling during the school holidays, you are required to clean the house ready for their return and are then welcome to take some additional time off.

Hours – Flexible hours 9-4 /10-5 Monday, Tuesday & Friday. Saturday 10.30-3

Days off – Sundays and Wednesdays (plus additional time off when the family are travelling)

Holiday – Generous holiday allowance is provided above the statutory 28 days entitlement (workload dependent)

Responsibilities

• Housekeeping & laundry
• Creating weekly job lists
• Replacing the water in vases (flowers are delivered weekly)
• Putting away any online orders and groceries
• Cleaning the fridge before receiving weekly groceries
• Working with the PAs and Nannies to ensure the house is clean, tidy and organised at all times (the Nannies tidy the playroom and the children’s bedrooms)
