Houseman-Butler/Driver – St Georges Hill

Applicants should be practical, highly organised, detail-oriented, self-motivated and security-aware.

Those with knowledge of household tech such as lighting and entertainment systems (such as Crestron) should be sure to highlight this within their application.

Simple cooking is required typically twice a week (for 1-2 people). Should the client have a dinner party, you will be asked to assist with service and kitchen prep. Chef skills are not required, confident family cooking ability is all that is needed.

A housekeeper is in place 3 x per week. Your assistance with general tidying, wiping of surfaces, unloading the dishwasher, polishing silver etc is required. A gardener and maintenance team are in place to maintain the exterior of the property.

Driving duties are required several days per week for trips to London or airport runs. Those with experience driving luxury vehicles would be of particular interest to the client (fleet includes a Rolls Royce, Ferrari, G-Wagon plus everyday vehicles – right and left-hand-drive).

Some basic household admin/PA duties may be required ad-hoc. Such as liaising with pool maintenance, overseeing repairs, booking restaurants etc.

A car is available for work use only. The selected applicant is welcome to bring their own vehicle for personal use.

The client is currently building a chalet in the French ski resort of Chamonix. Those with conversational French language skills would be of huge interest to the client. This is purely a bonus and not essential.

Responsibilities

• Valeting of cars, washing, waxing etc
• Preparing and serving coffees and drinks as required
• Serving Principals and guests
• Simple breakfast preparation (coffees, toast, pastries)
• Dog minding and walking (the clients have two dogs, 1 large and 1 small)
• General security awareness and vigilance is required (security team in place)
• Shopping and errand running
• Stocking fridges and cupboards
• Managing weekly online grocery orders
• Hours: Typically 8-5 (flexibility required)
• Days required: 5 days a week, including two Saturdays a month with other days flexible
• Possible travel to Chamonix

Key requirements

• 4/5 years of private household experience
• Experienced driving skills
• Confident service and/or Butler skills
• UK Passport, UK skilled-worker visa or UK pre-settlement/permanent settlement status
• Clean driving licence
