PA/Nanny (Mon-Thur) – Buckinghamshire

£25,000.00|Amersham, Buckinghamshire|Temp-Perm, Live-out

An experienced PA/Nanny is required 4-days per week in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. Suitable candidates will be energetic, flexible and organised. The children are two boys aged 7 & 11. Both are sporty and have a busy calendar of after-school clubs. This is an ideal role for a candidate who would like to begin a career as a PA and enjoys a varied role.

The position will run for a minimum of 9 months to cover the maternity leave of the current PA/Nanny. Should they choose not to return to the role, the position will become permanent.

Candidates must have a fluent level of spoken and written English, as assistance is required with the children’s homework. Both children attend the same private school and are academically advanced.

Both children are sports enthusiasts and play tennis and football several times a week. Organising sports kits and school uniforms, packing school bags, and laundry are required on a daily basis. The PA/Nanny is also asked to prepare the children’s dinner as both parents work full-time.

All applicants must have a clean driving licence and their own vehicle, as this is an essential requirement for school runs and general errand running.

Hours:

Term time | Monday-Thursday 13.30-20.00

School holidays | Monday-Thursday 08.30-20.00

Travel | Not required

Responsibilities

  • Childcare for two boys aged 7 & 11
  • Homework help
  • Children’s diary
  • Handling all school admin. Including emails from the school and scheduling all school events, meetings and parents evenings in the Principal’s diary.
  • Booking summer sports camps and tennis coaches
  • Organising a weekly online grocery order for the household
  • Overseeing any external contractors, deliveries etc in the Principal’s absence
  • School pick-up (both children attend the same school)
  • Errand running for children and parents
  • Preparing children’s dinner
  • Driving the children to after-school sports clubs & activities
  • Organising educational and recreational activities during the school holidays
  • Manage the after-school calendar for the children
  • Meeting with the Principal’s on a weekly basis to discuss the diary for the forthcoming week and any updates regarding the children

Key requirements

  • Childcare experience
  • PA/Admin skills
  • Knowledge of diary management
  • An Enhanced DBS Check
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Flexible and highly-organised approach
  • Confident driver with own vehicle
  • Capable family cook (simple meals for the children required)
  • Fit, energetic and able to keep up with two very active boys (confident tennis players extremely welcome!)
