Governess/Nanny – Belgravia & International Travel

£60,000.00-£80,000.00|Belgravia, London|Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Nanny with a keen, energetic and proactive approach. Children within your charge are aged 4 (G) and 14 months (B). All applicants must be prepared to travel extensively between the USA & Europe.

Candidates must be experienced with babies and children of a similar age group and have a warm, fun and down to earth approach.

The Principal’s 4 year old daughter will be starting pre-school in the coming weeks and will be attending Monday-Friday, leaving her 14 month old brother as your main charge during the day.

A one day trial will be organised to give you the chance to engage with the children and for the family to see how you click.

This role will suit a candidate who is happy to lend a hand where needed, whether that may be making the children’s beds or emptying the dishwasher if you have a few minutes to spare.

The family are looking for a committed Nanny who will remain with them for several years and travel with them quite extensively over the next two years between New York, LA, London, Italy, France etc. They have had a beloved Nanny for several years who is soon to return to the USA.

The role will be primarily based in Belgravia until June 2021, with frequent travel expected after that.

Due to the prompt start, candidates must have an Enhanced DBS check and Paediatric First Aid already in hand.

The role is Live-out whilst the family are in London and Live-in when you travel.

Hours – 50-60 per week

Responsibilities

  • Childcare duties
  • Nursery duties (housekeeping related to the children only)
  • Nursery pick up and drop off
  • Taking the children to appointments and playdates
  • Creating fun and educational-play ideas
  • Travelling with the family between Europe and the USA
  • Packing of children’s suitcases
  • Purchasing new clothes and donating anything they have outgrown to friends or goodwill
  • Liaising on a constant basis with parents

 

Key requirements

  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Paediatric First Aid
  • Previous experience with a similar age group
  • Availability to travel
  • No entry restrictions for Europe or the USA (tourist visas will be arranged for you)
  • A warm, grounded, down to earth and proactive approach is essential
  • Candidates must have accommodation available whilst in London (accommodation is provided when you travel)
