Nanny/Housekeeper

Up to £50,000.00|Belgravia, London|Permanent, Live-out

A young family in Belgravia is recruiting an experienced Nanny/Housekeeper. The selected applicant will cook simple meals for the children and see to any nursery duties plus general housekeeping. A full-time live-in Nanny/Housekeeper is in place to work alongside you and see to both childcare and housekeeping duties. The role is open to private household housekeepers and experienced interior yacht crew.

This is a warm and welcoming British household with 18-month-old twins (a girl and a boy). The client is looking for a Nanny/Housekeeper who will stay with the family long-term. Nanny/Housekeepers with proven longevity in previous roles would be very well suited to this role.

The position requires international travel during the school holidays. The children are all keen swimmers, therefore it is essential that all applicants are confident in the water.

Those with wardrobe management experience would be a good fit for this role as there is a requirement to handle and maintain high-end clothing and garments.

We are looking for a proactive candidate who takes the initiative. Ad hoc jobs such as replacing the water in a vase of fresh flowers, refreshing a fruit bowl, re-stocking on cupboard essentials and cleaning products, are all jobs that would fall under your remit. Applicants must have previous experience of working in a similar property and have an in-depth knowledge of using the correct cleaning materials on delicate surfaces/fabrics. Marble and stone floors, silk carpets, fabric wallpapers etc.

A competitive salary is available for this position and attention to detail is paramount.

Hours: 5.5 days per week including Sunday

Responsibilities

  • Childcare of school ages children

  • Shopping and ad-hoc errand running
  • General housekeeping

Key requirements

  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Paediatric First Aid Certificate
  • Knowledge of delicate materials/surfaces and suitable cleaning solutions
  • Flexible to travel with the family during the school holidays
  • A warm, proactive and dedicated nature
