A highly experienced Chef is required for a UHNW client based in Los Angeles. Suitable applicants will have plenty of experience with vegetarian cuisine and be happy to travel with the client when required.
This position is based in Malibu where the client is based full-time. The Chef will also travel with the family within the US and internationally throughout the year as required. Should the family travel on vacation and have a private chef provided, you will be given time off. Summer travel is expected to be spent mostly within the US.
The client follows a predominantly vegetarian diet with occasional fish but very little meat. His wife will require a meat or fish option to be prepared more often.
The housekeeping department takes care of breakfast with the Chef required to prepare juices and smoothies. The focus each day is the preparation of lunch and dinner. Dinner is usually served early in the evening so the hours required are not extensive.
You will be required to work a 5/6 day week when the clients are in residence, however, plenty of time off is allocated throughout the year when they travel and are staying in hotels or private luxury resorts. This is a highly sustainable position for a Chef who is looking to offer the client longevity.
A beautiful kitchen garden is on-site in LA and the Chef is encouraged to utilise and develop it as they wish. There are also chickens to provide fresh eggs each day.
The position would suit a candidate with the right balance of relaxed professionalism. Ideal candidates will have private chef and/or superyacht experience and have the ability to produce healthy, balanced and well-presented dishes.
