An experienced Head Chef is required to join the crew of a 113m Superyacht currently based in the Caribbean. Rotation is 10 weeks on followed by 10 weeks off. The yacht has a global itinerary typically cruising the Mediterranean, Caribbean and USA. Applicants must hold a valid STCW 95 & ENG1.
The galley team consists of a team of 6 including two sets of rotational chefs. A Head Chef, Sous Chef and a Crew Chef are in rotation every 10-weeks.
Applicants must have a significant level of experience within the yachting industry and have an established understanding of running a galley, provisioning, handling supplier accounts and catering for special dietary requirements. A background/training within Michelin restaurants is preferred but not essential.
This is a private yacht that does not charter. Owner and guest trips will typically run for a maximum of 4-6 weeks and rotation of crew is scheduled to align ahead of the owner’s next expected arrival date.
Applicants should have a wide repertoire of international cuisine and sharp presentation of plated dishes.
Communication skills are essential to ensure a smooth handover with your counterpart Head Chef with each rotation.
