Senior Housekeeper | Private Residence | Ascot

£55,000.00+ DOE|Ascot, Berkshire|Permanent

An exceptional opportunity for an experienced Senior Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming fully staffed household in Ascot. The Staff Directory is delighted to be assisting a long-standing client in the search for a hands-on Senior Housekeeper to join their beautiful private residence.

What the client offers

  • Excellent salary
  • Car and fuel allowance
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Pension scheme
  • Annual training and development budget
  • Increasing annual leave with length of service
  • Live-in accommodation available if required
  • Flexible working arrangements for the right candidate
  • Long-term career opportunity within a warm and respectful household

What truly sets this opportunity apart is the client’s commitment to retaining and developing the right person for the long term. An annual training budget is available to support professional development, whether that be specialist housekeeping courses, wardrobe and laundry care, flower arranging, silver care, barista training, IT skills or other areas of interest. The principals recognise that investing in their staff benefits everyone and actively encourage continued learning and career progression.

The household is also keen to accommodate candidates with family commitments. Whilst the role is typically based around a five-day working week, there is flexibility around start and finish times, and consideration can be given to adjusted working patterns for exceptional candidates with school-aged children. This makes the position particularly appealing to experienced housekeepers seeking a long-term role that offers both professional fulfilment and a sensible work-life balance.

Working alongside an established House Manager, Private Chef and Gardener, this role is ideally suited to a career housekeeper who takes genuine pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards throughout a private home. Whilst there is some liaison with the wider household team, the focus of the role is very much hands-on housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe management rather than household administration.

The principals are kind, respectful and genuinely value their staff, creating a positive working environment with excellent long-term prospects for the right person. The property is primarily occupied by the principals themselves, with occasional visits from grown-up children and guests.

This role would suit an experienced private household professional who enjoys being trusted to work independently, takes pride in immaculate presentation and is looking for a long-term position within a stable and appreciative household.

This is a rare opportunity to join a truly lovely household where your work will be appreciated, your standards respected and your contribution genuinely valued.
