Senior Housekeeper – Bermuda

A work permit will be arranged for the chosen applicant, therefore all candidates are welcome to apply (and are encouraged to do so quickly).

You will be joining a team of 6 housekeepers and a large number of additional staff. The estate contains several houses, pool cottages, gyms, spa facilities, staff apartments etc.

Cooking: A private chef is in place, however, the housekeeping team runs a rota system to cover weekends. Simple, healthy cooking is required if it is your rotation weekend (salads, grilled chicken/fish, simple soups etc). Any candidate with basic but confident cooking ability is welcome to apply, ‘professional chef standard’ dishes are not required.

Children: The family have 2 small children who are looked after by two full-time Nannies. Although childcare is not required, all staff members must be extremely child friendly and willing to jump in and help out if ever required.

Pets/Allergy info: The family have 2 dogs.

Salary/Package: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 (tax-free) per annum / Pension Plan / Health Insurance / Annual return flights to home country.

Experience requirements: To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must have a minimum of 3 years’ private household experience. 5* hotel training would also be a bonus. All candidates must have longevity in previous roles in order to be considered.

Accommodation: Self-contained staff apartments are in place on the grounds of the main estate.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include the following:

• Hands-on housekeeping & laundry
• Handling delicate & vintage fabrics
• Simple meal preparation (occasional)
• Liaising with Property Manager and client’s Exec Assistant to ensure the smooth running of the estate

Key requirements

To be suitable for this role, you must be/have:

• Private household experience
• Longevity in previous roles
• Senior Housekeeper/House Manager experience
• A hands-on approach (this is not a purely derogatory role)
• Team-player
• Exceptional personal presentation
• Fit & healthy
• Looking for a long term role
• Yacht crew are welcome to apply (must show a minimum longevity level of 3+ years on one vessel)
