Summer Nanny – Austria

€1000 per week|Carinthia, Austria|Temporary, Live-in

A fun and energetic Nanny is required for a 3-month booking this summer throughout the months of June, July & August. Travel is expected to additional residences across Europe. Your charge is a 2-year old little boy. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of childcare experience with the relevant age group.

The role offers live-in accommodation within the grounds of the main estate and is located in Carinthia, the lakes and mountains district of southern Austria. The Nanny/Au Pair is provided with their own bedroom and bathroom for the duration of the booking.

Your charge is a 2-year old little boy and the position will require a combination of sole charge and shared care. Applicants must be fit, active and able to cope with a fast pace throughout the summer months. Some travel is expected where you will travel with the family to additional residences across Europe.

Suitable candidates will have previous childcare experience with the relevant age group and a proactive and capable approach.

A high level of discretion and confidentiality is expected of the chosen candidate, as well as an acute level of security awareness.  Those with UHNW private household or high-profile experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Full childcare duties (dressing, feeding, bathtime, storytime, bedtime, nap schedule, activities, play dates)
  • Nursery duties (all housekeeping relating to your charge)
  • Meal and snack preparation
  • Babysitting when required
  • Planning activities
  • Accompanying the family on days out
  • Communicating effectively with the Principals and wider team of staff
  • To work closely with parents and staff alike to ensure each day runs smoothly
  • Travelling when required (to additional residences within Europe)

Key requirements

  • Professional childcare experience
  • A high level of discretion and security awareness
  • Experience of sole charge and shared care positions
  • Valid UK/EU passport or valid EU work visa
  • Strong communication skills
  • Self-starter and capable, proactive approach
  • Experience with the relevant age-group
  • Focus on age-appropriate milestones
  • An Enhanced DBS Check
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Flexible and highly organised manner
  • Able to prepare meals and snacks for your charge
  • Experience of UHNW/High-profile households – preferred but not essential
  • Languages – Fluent English is essential
