Travelling Private Chef – Rotational Contract

You will be joining an existing team of established staff and must have considerable private chef experience to qualify for this role.

The position is based at the client’s primary residence in Vienna, however, you will be required to travel to additional properties throughout Europe, particularly during the summer months.

The family enjoy a variety of worldwide cuisine making this an exceptional opportunity for any chef who likes to challenge their culinary knowledge and remain inspired. You are encouraged to source the best seasonal produce and ingredients available from local markets and specialist suppliers.

For the most part, you will be cooking for the principal, family and friends, however, some formal entertaining is expected on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Shopping and provisioning
• Accounts and budgets
• Using seasonal ingredients sourced from quality suppliers and producers
• Catering for the principal and Family
• Stock control & rotation of fridges and dry stores
• Keeping an immaculate kitchen at all times
• Travelling with the principal as required
• Liaising with additional private chefs to ensure a smooth handover between rotations

Key requirements

• Extensive private chef/yacht chef experience
• Broad knowledge of international cuisine
• Ability to cater for dietary requirements
• Calm under pressure
• Able to cater for relaxed family dinners to formal fine dining events
• Organised approach
• Strong communication skills
• Team player
• Happy to travel as required (only occasional travel expected)
• Candidates must be well-presented at all times
• A relaxed yet highly professional nature
