Global Travelling Private Chef – (visa not required)
A travelling private Chef with a talent for Southeast Asian cuisine is required for a client based between the USA, London and across the globe. The client is based in the USA but travels outside of the US for over half of the year therefore this position is open to all passport holders. The clients have two travelling Chefs to cover both Principals and to cover annual leave.
The client has two meals per day including a light lunch, and dinner between 17.00-18.00 every evening, he also eats out fairly frequently. The client and his wife do not enjoy sweet dishes or desserts but favour bold flavours and a varied mix of global cuisine, from classic American dishes to Italian, Chinese, Japanese and Southeast Asian flavour profiles. An emphasis is on a balanced and healthy diet from day to day.
Suitable applicants will have experience as a private chef within private or superyacht settings. Experience working within top-level restaurant kitchens is a plus.
Accommodation is provided at all times.
Responsibilities
- Ordering, budgeting and provisioning when static and during periods of travel
- Liaising with top local suppliers from one location to the next
- Travelling with the client between properties in the USA and London (occasionally at short notice)
- Two meals and healthy snacks will be required each day
- Menu planning and discussing preferences with Principals
- Some events catering including dinner parties and relaxed sports lunches. Casual dining is typically required
Key requirements
- A good knowledge of global cuisine with a skill for Southeast Asian dishes
- A relaxed yet highly organised manner with experience working within an HNW private residence and possessing the social skills it requires
- Availability to attend a cooking trial within the next 2-4 weeks
- A portfolio including examples of your dishes and supporting written references
- A background check (to be completed ahead of cooking trial)
