Chateau Host – France (5+ week booking)

Suitable applicants will have skills with housekeeping and a helpful, proactive approach to guests. Clientelle are typically from the USA and UK therefore applicants are not required to speak French. Booking dates will be confirmed by the owner and are expected to be a minimum of 5 weeks.

The property has 10 bedrooms and guest numbers can range between 12-20. Staff include a chef, hosts/housekeeping, grounds staff and management. Applicants should be self-sufficient and able to manage their time and workload effectively.

The two hosts will work on a rota either starting early at 07.00 or starting later and finishing at 22.30.

Setting up the pool area, front of house duties such as assisting the chef with laying out breakfast platters and keeping communal areas clean and tidy are all expected.

Morning tea and coffee service will be run by the host who is working the early shift. One towel change per week with guest arrival/departure typically on a Saturday. Sunday is your day off (additional days are also taken if there are no guests in residence).

Retreats run April 15th-16th July and 27th August-15th October. The villa is booked by private clients for the break in between.

Accommodation: Accommodation is provided for you at the estate including a beautiful bedroom and bathroom that has previously been used as a further guest bedroom.

Key requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Those with chalet or yacht experience are preferred (but not essential)
• A driving licence would be of enormous value to ensure you can explore and enjoy your days off (car available)
