Weekend Nanny – Central London

You will be paid from Friday at 6pm until Monday at 9am regardless of if you work those hours. This is an on-call role therefore you will be expected to work those hours when needed although it’s rare that the full weekend is ever required.

Typically a weeks notice is given for hours needed that weekend but please be aware that due to the parents work, last-minute changes can happen and as a result, you’re expected to be available and “on-call” for the hours listed.

To be suitable for this role, applicants must have a warm, relaxed, yet highly professional and calm approach and apply a high level of appreciation for client privacy, confidentiality and discretion.

This is a highly organised household with two incredibly kind and warm primaries, an Irish actress and an English writer, therefore this role will suit a candidate with previous experience within a team-based environment. A full-time nanny is in place who works Monday to Friday 8-6pm.

All applicants must hold an enhanced DBS check, first aid certificate, verifiable references, and a warm, proactive manner.

Overnight accommodation is not available when the family are in London (but is available for the weekends they travel to their countryside residence).

Responsibilities

• Sole and shared charge childcare duties
• Nursery duties (all housekeeping relating to the children)
• Preparing healthy and balanced meals and snacks for the children
• Children’s weekend diary (appointments, play dates etc)
• Offering children consistency and security
• Travelling when required (UK & Overseas)

Key requirements

• Experience working with high-profile clients a plus
• Significant experience with primary years
• Enhanced DBS check
• Paediatric First Aid certificate
• Written, verifiable references
• A warm, caring and dedicated personality
• A high level of discretion and security awareness
